In November 2018, the 3.3 acres of engineered landscape and irrigation surrounding the La Granada Reservoir was destroyed in the Woolsey Fire. With La Granada Pump Station Project, completed, work on restoring the irrigation and engineered landscape is ready for construction. This work will involve the clearing of weeds, irrigation work (that is in compliance with the City’s Drought Waiver), and hydroseeding.
Construction has started with completion in November 2023 followed by the La Granada Tank Rehabilitation in 2024. Estimated Project Duration: 150 calendar days.
Budget and Funding:
The project is funded through a federal and state grant.
Project Highlights and Benefits:
This project re-establishes plants appropriate for the protection of the manufactured slopes and replaces the original irrigation with a more water-efficient design in compliance with the City’s requirements.
Map of Project Area:
During construction, there may be some temporary traffic impacts along Mountain Crest Circle. Construction hours shall be from Monday thru Friday 7AM-4PM. Due to the construction, trails near project area have been closed.
