The Public Works Department offers assistance to local businesses that qualify as a Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator (CESQG). To qualify, your business must be located in Thousand Oaks and generate less than 220 pounds (approximately 27 gallons) of hazardous waste per month, or a maximum of 2.2 pounds of acutely hazardous waste per month. Our appointment-based program is affordable, convenient, safe, and legal.

NOTE: Businesses that generate more than these amounts are required to use a licensed hazardous waste hauler to manifest and transport their waste.
Rates vary depending on the type and amount of waste. A cost estimate will be provided when scheduling your appointment. Payment must be made on the day of disposal.
