Take advantage of local, State, and Federal incentives and rebates to help you electrify your home with energy-efficient upgrades and appliances. Eligible appliances, equipment, and projects include heat pump water heaters, clothes dryers, central heat pumps, windows, insulation, solar, and battery energy storage. Check below for information on available rebates and tax incentives.

Why Switch to All-Electric?

Shifting gas equipment like water and space heating to electric (heat pumps) not only means more energy efficiency but also reduces or eliminates associated carbon emissions. Because your electricity is already (or will eventually be) supplied by 100% renewable energy, the carbon emissions from electric equipment are much less than natural gas.

Switch is On: Make the Switch to an All-Electric Home

The Switch is On is a consumer inspiration campaign with a mission to equitably electrify communities across the United States. It provides information, resources, and tools to support homeowners and renters to electrify their homes, save energy, and begin a cleaner, healthier way of powering their lives. It also offers tools for contractors to connect with customers who are looking to electrify their homes.

They have a marketplace where you can shop for appliances, a rebates hub with information on current rebates available including rebates for multifamily properties, an area to learn about energy-efficiency financing opportunities, and more. Incentives and Rebates At-A-Glance

The table below offers a summary of many of the financial incentives and rebates available to you, whether you're a homeowner, renter, or contractor. You may also find the resources below on Switch Is On's tool where you may search by zip code to find energy incentives in your area. Financial incentives go even further for heat pump HVAC and water heating appliances if you work with a contractor enrolled in the TECH Clean California program, which offers incentives to contractors that are passed on to customers at the time of appliance installation. Contractors interested in the program can find more information by clicking here. The Tri-County Regional Energy Network (3C-REN) also offers a suite of programs for contractors, including energy code coaching, free trainings, and both single-family and multifamily project incentives.
