Wastewater Pipe and Maintenance Hole Lining Project

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The City maintains approximately 415 miles of wastewater pipelines, and 8,300 maintenance holes.This project will rehabilitate approximately 14,000 linear feet of wastewater collection pipeline, and 59 maintenance holes.The installation will take place within wastewater easements on private properties, the North Ranch Country Club, Los Robles Golf Course, and on City Streets throughout the City.

PROJECT TIME FRAME

Project design was completed this past June, with construction scheduled to start this October and be completed by April 2020. 

BUDGET/FUNDING

The project cost is $1,167,0000 and funded by the Wastewater Capital Budget funds.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS/BENEFITS

The City has an ongoing program for lining existing damaged wastewater pipelines and maintenance holes to reduce the quantity of water entering the wastewater system Citywide.Other benefits include preventing prevent further deterioration of the collection system, reduce groundwater infiltration, and avoid more expensive rehabilitation techniques in the future.

PROJECT IMPACTS

A vicinity map for this project is provided.Prior to any work being done, homeowners within 300’ of the project location will be notified.Right of Entry letters will also be sent to private properties directly impacted to gain access during the improvements. Residents will be asked not to run water down their drains for several hours during the lining installation in their neighborhoods.
