Project Description

The work includes surface preparation and painting of all traffic signal poles, street light poles, mast arms, signal heads, luminaire arms, safety lighting housings, ped button housings, back plates and cabinets at 17 street intersections (see Vicinity Map and link to Location Maps below).

Project Time Frame

The project design is completed, and construction is expected to begin at the end of August and last till November 2022.

Project Funding

A construction contract has been awarded to Streetlight Restoration Specialists,Inc., Simi Valley, CA, in the amount of $185,078. This project is funded by the City’s Lighting Fund.

Project Benefits

Painting and preventive maintenance will restore and extend the life of these important appurtenances. This will be an on-going program for the next few years.

Provided is a vicinity map and location maps site for the project. Before construction takes place, the City and Contractor will notify homeowners/tenants and businesses near the project.

The construction of these improvements will happen during the daytime between 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (Monday thru Friday) and night-time between 8:00 pm to 6:00 am (Sunday through Thursday). There will be some temporary impacts on vehicular traffic ONLY during the night-time construction activities, including partial lane closures.

The night-time work will minimize impacts to motorists, pedestrians and also provide greater overall safety.
