The City is responsible for the collection and disposal of stormwater runoff, which includes inlets, channels, culverts, detention and debris basins. These facilities are often included with other street improvement projects. Problem areas are identified in the City's Stormwater Master Plan.
This project provides for the cleaning of storm drains and the construction of four storm drain maintenance holes on Borchard Road and one storm drain maintenance hole on private property that is managed by the Aldea Dos Vientos Homeowner Association.
Project Timeframe and Location
Upon final approval, construction is scheduled to start in July and be completed by the end of August. The work is to be done at various locations along Borchard Road as described in the Location Map
The budget for this project is $186,000 and comes from the Developers Fee Road Improvement Fund.
The impact to nearby residents will be minimal and will result in improved access for cleaning pipes that may be clogged.
