Project Description
This project will provide for interconnection of the City’s and CalAm’s water systems at two different locations within the City.
- Interconnection #1 on West Avenida De Los Arboles Avenue approximately 100 feet east of the Atlas Avenue intersection.
- Interconnection #2 on Adrian Street between Corrine Drive and Ilex Drive
Project Timeframe
The project is currently in the Bid phase, and slated for construction in May 2021. It was completed in May 2022.
The total estimated project cost is $590,000 and is funded with adopted FY 19-20 and FY 20-21 Capital Fund Budget.
Project Benefits
The City’s Water Master Plan has identified essential emergency water interconnections between the City water and other water providers within the City. The purpose of emergency water interconnection is to create stability and higher reliability to the water network system.
