October 23, 2018– Highlight of City Council Action

    • Proclaimed October 21 – 27, 2018 as National Friends of Libraries Week

    • Proclaimed October as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month

    • Conducted public hearing for Municipal Code Amendment Regarding Licensing and Operating Regulations for Taxicabs; introduced ordinance to repeal and replace Title 4, Chapter 2 of the Thousand Oaks Municipal Code

    • Conducted public hearing for Water and Wastewater Rate and Fee Adjustments; introduced ordinances to adjust and set rates and fees of the City Water and Wastewater Divisions

    • Received update from Homelessness Ad Hoc Committee; adopted resolution declaring a shelter crisis pursuant to SB 850; approved MOU on Ventura Countywide Homelessness with the County of Ventura, City of Camarillo, City of Fillmore, City of Moorpark, City of Port Hueneme, City of Santa Paula, City of Simi Valley, City of San Buenaventura, and City of Oxnard

    • Received report regarding Clean Power Alliance Customer Default Electricity Offering; approved 100 percent renewables product as default electricity mix offered to Thousand Oaks City customers
