Purpose: The Successor Agency Oversight Board is created and organized pursuant to California Health & Safety Code Section 34179 as added by AB x1 26. The Oversight Board is charged with overseeing the activities of the Successor Agency to the former Redevelopment Agency, as it discharges its obligations, disposes of assets, and winds down redevelopment activities. The City of Thousand Oaks serves as Successor Agency.

Members: The Oversight Board is an appointed body comprised of seven members as follows; two appointments by the County Board of Supervisors, two appointments by the Mayor of Thousand Oaks, one appointment from the Ventura County Fire Protection District, one appointment by the County Superintendent of Education and one appointment by the Chancellor of the California Community Colleges.

Meetings: The Successor Agency Oversight Board meets periodically in the Board Room at City Hall. See meeting schedule.

Effective July 1, 2018, the Redevelopment Successor Agency Oversight Board was replaced by the Ventura County Consolidated Oversight Board pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 34179(j).
