City’s Economic Development Strategic Plan (2017)
In 2016, the City embarked on an effort to develop an Economic Development Strategic Plan (EDSP). Following extensive community stakeholder engagement, the EDSP was finalized and adopted by City Council in 2017. It includes information about the City’s economic history, identifies goals and strategic recommendations for enhancing the City’s short- and long-term economic vibrancy. See the full EDSP
Site selection: ED staff are available to assist businesses in finding the best options to locate, relocate, and/or expand business operations in the City.
You can also visit our GIS map of the City to research particular potential sites, including current zoning and other important information here.
Development process navigation: ED is your entrance point for reviewing and discussing initial development site plans. On your behalf, ED staff then coordinate with other appropriate departments to streamline an initial review of your project and obtain feedback for you to consider as you move forward. ED staff remain engaged throughout the review process and are always available should you have questions or concerns about your project.
