Homework Center
Get homework help from Thousand Oaks Library volunteers via Zoom! A parent or guardian must sit in on the Zoom session. Homework help is available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Not affiliated with Conejo Valley Unified School District. Registration required.
Reading Buddies
Students in Grades 1 - 4 can gain confidence in reading with the help of an interactive volunteer reading buddy. This free program will be hosted via Zoom on Tuesdays from February 2, 2021 to March 30, 2021 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Live Chess Tutoring
Brainfuse now offers live chess tutoring & resources from expert chess players. All you need is your library card! Live Chess Tutoring is available from Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:59 p.m.
Beanstack Reading Challenge – Black History Month
Learn about Black history makers, explore cultural traditions, and honor the evolution of Black history in America. From the Civil Rights Movement to #BlackLivesMatter, it is vital to understand our history so that we can impact our future. Join the challenge at the Thousand Oaks Library.

This program is open to all non-native English language speakers who are interested in developing their speaking fluency. Participants of varying levels of English proficiency are welcome. OneDrive: Saving Your Data in the Cloud
Save your files and photos to OneDrive and get them from any device, anywhere. Registration required. The program will be hosted via Zoom on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Adult Virtual Crafternoon: Yarn-Wrapped Hearts
Wrap up your heart in yarn and give it to someone you love. This tutorial will be available to watch on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. on the library’s website and social media pages.
How to Be a D&D Dungeon Master
Learn how to run your own game of Dungeons & Dragons and how to set up socially distanced games using online resources. Registration required. The program will be hosted via Zoom on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
B.Y.O. Book Club
In a new take on book clubs, the Thousand Oaks Library invites readers to bring their current or recent read to discuss with others. A perfect way to find new book recommendations! Whether it be a mystery, biography, graphic novel, fantasy, romance, thriller, history, or science fiction, all books are welcome at the Bring Your Own Book Club. Registration required. The program will be hosted via Zoom on Monday, February 22, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Google Docs
With Google Docs, a free online word processor, you can write letters, résumés, school assignments, and more. Prerequisites: You must have a Google Gmail account prior to class and be familiar with using the keyboard and mouse. Suggested: complete the Google Drive class. Registration required. The program will be hosted via Zoom on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
