Summer Reading Club Programs at the Thousand Oaks Library

Have you heard the buzz? Summer Reading Club at the Thousand Oaks Library has started! From June 1, 2020 to August 15, 2020, the Library encourages readers of all ages and abilities to participate and “Bee" a Champion Reader.

Participants may sign up as an individual or family, or as a class, camp, or group by registering at www.tolibrary.org/src. While in-person events are on hold, the Library will host virtual programs and activities on the Library’s website and Facebook page (@ThousandOaksLibrary). Earn points all summer long for reading and completing activities.

Summer Reading Club can help motivate school-aged children to maintain reading skills during summer vacation, encourage regular use of the library, and empower people by developing positive attitudes towards reading and books. Participants can use Curbside Holds Service to borrow physical items from the Grant R. Brimhall Library or borrow materials online through the Virtual Library.

The Thousand Oaks Library Foundation has generously decided to waive DVD rental fees for the duration of Curbside Pickup. The Foundation is a non-profit organization which supports special library projects, like the Feature Film DVD rental program, the Special Collections department & the Library Foundation Gift Store.

Summer Reading Club is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library.
