Thousand Oaks Reads: One City, One Book Author Event Postponed

The Thousand Oaks Library has postponed the One City, One Book Author Event with Meredith May, scheduled on April 26, 2020 at the Bank of America Performing Art Center Kavli Theater.

Since 2007, the Thousand Oaks Reads: One City, One Book program has served as the community’s signature literary event. Annually, library staff chooses a title and offers several weeks of programs related to the book. The Library has partnered with the Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library and California Lutheran University to present a diverse range of programs including film screenings, book discussions, concerts, and lectures.

In accordance with Ventura County's Stay Well at Home Order, all in-person library programs have been canceled or postponed. The Library continues to provide virtual programs and activities via social media and through the library’s website. While live streaming the author event was considered, both Meredith May and the One City, One Book committee have agreed to postpone the author event to a future time when the community can enjoy this program together and in person.

Please follow the library’s social media channels and website for updates regarding One City, One Book. One City, One Book is generously sponsored by The Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library.
