The community is invited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Newbury Park Library on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The festivities will include games, contests, music, a time capsule dedication and much more.

Opened in 1991, the Newbury Park facility houses both the Newbury Park Library and the Library System's Technical Services Department. The building also houses the Thousand Oaks Community Gallery, showcasing the work of local artists.

“We hope the community comes out to help us celebrate 25 years of the Newbury Park Library serving our area. Staff is proud of the service we provide and are planning a variety of fun activities for the whole family,” said Darren Jeffery, Newbury Park Library Supervisor and newly named Deputy Library Director.

The Thousand Oaks Library system is comprised of one main facility, the Grant R. Brimhall Library, located at 1401 E. Janss Road in Thousand Oaks, and one branch library, the Newbury Park Library, located at 2331 Borchard Road in Newbury Park. The total Library collection includes over 450,000 items.
