Thousand Oaks Accepting Applications for 2019-2020 Community Enhancement Grant Program

The City of Thousand Oaks’ Public Works Department will be accepting applications for the 2019-2020 Community Enhancement Grant Program through December 2, 2019. The program provides grants for non-profit community and school groups, such as clubs and booster organizations. They choose a community beautification or environmental project, such as a recycling program, tree planting, litter collection, composting, waste reduction program, water/energy conservation, food diversion (composting, donation or recovery), public outreach and education program, or similar environmentally-related activity to conduct. The grants for qualifying organizations, which range from $2,000 to $5,000, are competitive, and grant proposals are reviewed and scored by a City Council appointed committee of community volunteers. The committee will make final award recommendations to City Council. Applicants are encouraged to submit grant proposals for creative, independent environmental projects.

Organizations must be located in the City of Thousand Oaks. Applications must be submitted electronically no later than 5:00 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2019. For more information or submit an online application, please visit
