Summer Beach Bus Service is Here!
Want to take a ride to the beach and don’t feel like driving? Do your teenagers need a safe, inexpensive way to get to the beach this summer? Save gas and wear and tear on your car by using the Summer Beach Bus between Thousand Oaks and Zuma Beach in Malibu. The service, offered by Thousand Oaks Transit (TOT), runs Monday through Friday from June 10 through August 9. There will be no service Thursday, July 4, 2019 and Friday, July 5, 2019.
Two outbound trips and two return trips will be available daily Monday through Friday. Fare is $3.00 each way ($1.50 for seniors aged 65 and older, and disabled riders). Exact cash fare is required. The bus is available on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations required.
The bus departs in the mornings from Borchard Community Center Parking Lot and the Thousand Oaks Teen Center Bus Stop, and drops off and picks up at Zuma Beach parking lot #5 near the snack shack. See the chart for the schedule.
This will be the seventh year the service is being offered, and TOT will use 46-passenger motor coaches equipped with air conditioning and seatbelts. There is storage for surfboards, chairs, umbrellas and coolers.
