Explore, Engage & Play at our April 27 Arbor Earth Day Event!

Thousand Oaks residents are invited to participate in Arbor Earth Day 2019. This family-friendly event will take place at the Grant R. Brimhall Library in Thousand Oaks on Saturday, April 27, 2019 with events and activities taking place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be music, food, games, and outdoor activities for people of all ages. Activities will be located in the Library parking lot, while presentations will be conducted in the Library Community Room.

There will be presentations discussing buying and leasing electric vehicles, the pros and cons of solar installation, explanations with how to co-exist with bobcats, coyotes, mountain lions, and other wildlife in our neighborhoods, a firescaping presentation, a workshop on building healthy, disease resistant soils, and a tour by the Master Gardeners of their demonstration garden.

This event will also include performances by Lacie Mae, acoustic trio Second Step, and a special appearance by singer/songwriter Paige Peel. Children can come and enjoy games and crafts and explore a trash truck. There will be plant sales, raffles, giveaways, and the Shrimp vs Chef food truck will be on hand, along with other city and non-profit sustainability-related exhibitors.
