#TOtalks Explores Local People and Places
Earlier this year, the City of Thousand Oaks kicked off a series of monthly video-shorts exploring the people and places that help to make our community great.
Hosted by Thousand Oaks Mayor Rob McCoy, #TOtalks presents stories that bring us together, that shine a light on the unexpected, stories of how we help one another, and a look at some of the hidden treasures in the Conejo Valley.
“We live in a remarkably robust community,” explains Mayor Rob McCoy. “This is a chance for us to share what we are all about—to bring some positive news to your social media feed—and connect with one-another a little more.”
The series launched with the Thousand Oaks Acorn’s own head newsman and editor, Kyle Jorrey, followed by a look at how tradition and family brought unique 100-year-old recipes from the country of Turkey to the Conejo Valley’s MythPoint Bistro. We have talked with Frisbee golfers, a youth governor, and more. Plus we're taking input from the community.
#TOtalks is produced by TOTV, the City’s in-house television station, with several episodes distributed each month online and through social media. Learn more or submit topic for consideration at www.toaks.org/TOtalks.
