City Seeks Applicants to Serve on Committees

The City of Thousand Oaks is currently seeking applicants who are interested in serving on the Community Funding Review Committee and the Area Housing Authority.

The purpose of the Area Housing Authority is to provide additional housing opportunities for low-income families, counseling information and fair housing. Applicants must be City residents and file a Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) Statement of Economic Interests within 30 days of appointment.  Applications are due February 15, 2019. For specific information on Committee responsibilities, please contact Peter Gilli at 805.449.2311 or pgilli@toaks.org. This recruitment is for two City representatives; term to March 2023.

The Community Funding Review Committee acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council relative to funding issues for the Community Enhancement Grants, Community Events Fund Grants, Social Services Fund Grants and Sports Facility Grants. Applicants must be City residents and file a Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) Statement of Economic Interests within 30 days of appointment and annually thereafter; AB 1234 ethics training is required. Applications are due February 15, 2019. For specific information on Board responsibilities, please contact Jay Spurgin at 805.449.2444 or jspurgin@toaks.org. This recruitment is for nine vacancies. Initial Committee members shall be appointed for staggered terms with five members appointed for an initial two-year term (term ending December 2020) and four members appointed for a three-year term (term ending December 2021).

All applicants are vetted using a standard review process, and if selected, will be appointed.
