Recreational Activities Information

Thousand Oaks is fortunate to have many organizations in the community which provide Recreational opportunities for residents. The Conejo Recreation and Park District offers programs for all ages at their five community centers, the Alex Fiore Teen Center and the Goebel Senior Adult Center.

The National Park Service Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area headquarters are located in Thousand Oaks and offers a multitude of hiking opportunities with spectacular views of the Conejo Valley and the Pacific Ocean.

Since Thousand Oaks is a family-oriented community,  recreational activities for youth abound through various organizations such as Conejo Valley and Thousand Oaks Little League, Westlake Baseball Association, Pop Warner Football, Conejo Youth Basketball, Conejo Valley Girls Softball, AYSO, YMCA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts,

With the City's proximity to Hollywood, drama and musical workshops and dance studios are in abundance in the area as well.

With Southern California's beautiful climate, golf is a popular activity. The City's oak-lined Los Robles Golf Course, an 18-hole public course, is open to all for golfing fun, and there are approximately 20 other golf courses within a 30 mile radius of Thousand Oaks.
