Emergency Preparedness. Are You Ready?

The City's Emergency Preparedness Program is dedicated to the service of our community before, during and after emergencies such as earthquakes, fires, floods, storms, hazardous material spills, terrorism, and other disasters. Additionally, the City Emergency Response Program provides:

  • Activation of the City's Emergency Operations Center at City Hall.
  • Training employees on emergency response, including scheduling of drills, communications and contingency planning.
  • Ensuring City facilities are equipped with emergency response supplies and equipment for the use of emergency workers.
  • Should they be needed, one or more pre-identified meeting sites will be opened.  Currently sites are all closed.
  • Waiting for help to arrive could take hours or days depending on the magnitude of an incident, know 5 Life Saving Actions After a Disaster.
