Free Movie Matinee

Free screening of the film, WINTER'S BONE, starring Jennifer Lawrence and John Hawkes.  Nominated for Best Picture. Ree Dolly, 17, sets out to track down her father, who put their house up for his bail bond and then disappeared. (Lionsgate, R, 100 min.)

Families with children under age 5 years are invited to this free family night featuring music by Mark's Music for the Very Young in an interactive show. Hosted by the Conejo Valley Neighborhood for Learning and Thousand Oaks Library.

Young Adult Author Brandon Mull

Thursday, Nov. 8 - 6:30 p.m. - Grant R Brimhall Library
Popular young adult author Brandon Mull will introduce his new book Candy Shop Wars 2 and talk about his career. Copies of the books Candy Shop Wars and Candy Shop Wars 2 will be for sale and the author will sign copies after the talks.  The Westlake High School graduate is also the author of the popular Fablehaven series.

History Book Discussion
