| | | Renewing Library MaterialsTo renew items, you will need to access your library record by clicking on My Account located on the yellow bar near the top of the screen in the library catalog. Enter your name (last name first) and your library barcode number, then click on Display Record for Person Named Above or press the Enter key on the computer keyboard.
Once you have successfully accessed your account:
- Click on checked out items
- To renew all your items, click on Renew ALL.
- To renew specific items, click on the box next to each item you want to renew. When you have checked all the desired boxes, click on Renew Selected Items.
- A Renewal message and a new due date will appear next to each successfully renewed item.
There are some limitations on renewals.
- Items can only be renewed once. The system will block a second renewal attempt.
- Items renew for ½ their original loan period.
- The renewal period starts from the day the renewal is performed. Therefore, it is best to renew items on or close to their original due date.
- Renewals cannot be placed on items that have been requested by another patron.
- Videos and DVDs cannot be renewed. Rental Books may be renewed in person only.
- Overdue materials may not be renewed.
- If you have fines in excess of $1, you will not be able to renew materials.
