Triunfo Oak

This page is dedicated to the centuries-old Heritage Oak on Triunfo Canyon Road at Westlake Boulevard. This spectacular tree has been a landmark in our community since its inception.

For several years, the City monitored the diseased oak tree. Regretfully, after a third expert opinion, thorough inspection, and collection of scientific data, results indicate that the tree was in imminent danger of collapse. With public safety as our top priority, the tree was removed on October 13, 2011.

A beautiful new Oak was planted on November 9, 2011 at the intersection of Triunfo Cyn Rd. & Westlake Blvd. Landscape boulders were placed in the median along with a monument boulder and commemorartive plaque at the northwest corner of the intersection.
