The City operates a door-to-door Dial-A-Ride program for passengers 65 years of age or older, or for those who hold an ADA (Americans with Disabilities) card. With Dial-A-Ride you can receive transportation to do errands, go shopping, or for medical appointments.

  Dial-A-Ride Fare

Fare is $3.00 each way. Exact change is required as drivers do not carry cash. Trip tickets are available at the following locations:

    - Transportation Center, 265 S. Rancho Road
    - Goebel Senior Center, 1385 E. Janss Road
    - Or from the driver 

  Service Area

Service is provided to Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, and the county's unincorporated areas of Newbury Park, Ventu Park, Lynn Ranch, Rolling Oaks, Hidden Valley, and Lake Sherwood. There is no additional cost to travel between the city limits and the unincorporated areas. Service to other communities is available only to ADA cardholders, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (6:00am - 6:00pm effective 9/1).

Dial-A-Ride Cards

A City-issued DAR card is required to use the service. Cards are $4.00 and have no expiration date. Replacement cards are $2.00. Cards may be purchased at City Hall Finance Customer Service, located on the 2nd floor. Proof of age is required. If you do not have a card or transportation to get to City Hall, DAR will pick you up and take you to City Hall (payment of standard fare required). Proof of age is required.

  ADA Cards

A county-issued ADA card is required to use the service. Cards are only available under established ADA criteria if you are unable to use regular public bus service (see ADA brochure above for more information).

No shows and late cancellations affect our ability to provide timely service and increase wait times for all riders. Please review the policy to ensure a pleasant experience for all Dial-A-Ride participants.
