Community Cleanup and Recycling Day
Community Clean-Up & Recycling Day Notification
The City of Thousand Oaks and the Conejo Park and Recreation District have worked together for many years to provide Community Cleanup Day at Community Creek Park, South. Over the last few years, the park has become increasingly popular for soccer and baseball tournaments and the Community Cleanup Day event has grown as well, with over 2,000 vehicles bringing materials for disposal.
Because of the limited access to the site, tournament traffic and traffic for Cleanup Day must use the same access road, creating a dangerous traffic situation for our staff and the public. For the safety of the public and our staff several alternate disposal solutions are being offered to Thousand Oaks residents for 2013.
