The City of Thousand Oaks supports alternative fuel vehicles that include Compressed Natural Gas, Hybrid Electric and Battery Electric Vehicles. More than 50 percent of the City's fleet run on alternative fuel.

The City's existing electrical vehicle charging stations are in the process of being upgraded as part of a state grant program through the California Energy Commission in coordination with Clipper Creek, Inc. The following public charging stations are expected to be fully operational by January 2012.

Municipal Service Center, 1993 Rancho Conejo Blvd. - Visitor Parking Lot
Thousand Oaks Transportation Center, 265 S. Rancho Rd. - Lower Park and Ride Lot (north side)
Hillcrest Center, 403 W. Hillcrest Dr. - Visitor Parking Lot
