About Weblink
The City of Thousand Oaks uses a digital archiving system known as Laserfiche. It is used by municipalities nation-wide to retrieve, manage and distribute paper and electronic documents more efficiently and effectively.
The City has made various records, such as Minutes, Resolutions and Ordinances for City Council, Planning Commission and other City Boards, Commissions and Committees, available to citizens through Laserfiche Weblink. This system delivers documents via a familiar web-browser interface. Users can browse, search, retrieve, and print documents and it is an easy way to engage citizens in the proceedings of our local government. (City Clerk Department maintains the Laserfiche repository and documents available via Weblink – please call (805) 449-2152 with questions.)

Help Topic: How to use ‘Weblink’ to access City documents. The instructions below will explain how to use Weblink’s Browse and Search tools, and how to Print documents as PDFs. Weblink Browse: By clicking on a folder, you can browse through that folder to find a particular document, then browse through the document page-by-age and see its length (as shown in the images below). Once you have a document open and would like to view it as a PDF and/or print it out, click on the Print/PDF button (as shown in the second image below) and then click “Download and Print” when prompted to make the conversion to PDF and/or to print. (Make sure to temporarily allow pop-ups to be able to print/PDF.)

Weblink Search: WebLink’s search function is one of its most powerful features. Hit “Search” under the Lasrfiche Weblink logo on the left-hand side to switch from “Browse” mode to “Search” mode. Note the “Enter Search:” field that’s come up on screen-left. It works like many Web search tools. To refine your search fields, use the information in Weblink’s Help screen by clicking on “Help” in the upper right-hand corner or contact City Clerk staff at the number below. If you’ve searched and clicked to a document, but want to return to your search list, use the back arrow to go back to previous page. For staff assistance on accessing information via Weblink please contact the City Clerk Department at (805) 449-2151
