Green Business Videos
From the California Green Business Network (CaGBN) - several short videos highlighting California businesses that are saving money and winning new customers by going green and getting certified.
NOTE: The California Department of Toxic Substance Control (DTSC) is mentioned in these videos as the sponsor of CaGBN. As of 2016, DTSC and CaGBN are no longer affiliated.
Mandatory Commercial Recycling
In 2012 the State Assembly Bill 341 made business recycling mandatory for any business that generates four cubic yards or more of commercial solid waste per week. This includes non-profit organizations, government agencies, industrial facilities, schools, hospitals and malls.
Multi-family dwellings of 5 units or more must also have a recycling program for their residents.
Visit our Mandatory Commercial Recycling page for details and information about how to comply.
Mandatory Organics Recycling
California's recycling laws are changing!
Starting in 2016 California law requires businesses to start recycling their organic waste.
Visit our Mandatory Organics Recycling page to see how this law will be phased in, and when your business will need to comply.
