Mandatory Commercial Recycling
In 2012 State Assembly Bill 341 made business recycling mandatory for any business that generates four cubic yards or more of commercial solid waste per week (i.e., one extra large dumpster). This includes non-profit organizations, government agencies, industrial facilities, schools, hospitals and malls. We have resources to help businesses get started with recycling. Click on the button below to get more information about State and City requirements for recycling at businesses.
Mandatory Recycling for Apartment / Multi-Family Complexes
The State's Mandatory Commercial Recycling law applies to multi-family complexes of 5 or more units. Visit our Apartment / Multi-Family Services webpage for details.
