The City of Thousand Oaks will be holding two municipal elections in 2008.  A Special Municipal Election has been called for June 3, 2008 regarding Measure B -  Land Use/"Right to Vote on Traffic Congestion" Initiative.  The Regular Municipal Election will be held on November 4, 2008.

City Accepting Applications for Sports Facilities Endowment Grants

City of Thousand Oaks is accepting applications for the Sports Facilities Endowment Fund grants during the annual application period that opened May 1 and continues until June 30, 2008. The City sets aside $100,000 each year to award to local nonprofit organizations for capital projects that benefit sports teams or organizations within the City.

City Celebrates National Public Works Week

The City of Thousand Oaks is celebrating National Public Works Awareness Week with a three-day open house, Tuesday, May 20 through Thursday, May 22, 2008 at the Public Works Municipal Service Center, 1993 Rancho Conejo Blvd.   "The Future is Now," is this year’s National Public Works Week theme.  Open House is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day, and tours are designed to highlight the importance of Public Works professionals who are always there, and always prepared.
