| Environmental Programs Thanks to your efforts, the City of Thousand Oaks is in full compliance with the goals of AB939 - we have reduced landfill waste by more than 50 percent since 1990.
The City has been recognized by the State of California for designing, implementing, and operating model programs that support waste reduction and recycling.
