| Alternative Fuel Vehicle Fleet The City supports the use of clean air vehicles and the creation of an infrastructure for free electric vehicle charging throughout the community. City employees have access to a Toyota RAV-4, Ford Think, Toyota Prius, and numerous natural gas vehicles. These vehicles offer zero or low emission, the convenience of never having to go to a gas station, are silent running, and are as easy to drive as an internal combustion vehicle. Electric vehicles are 97 percent cleaner than gasoline cars, including per plant emissions.

Three hours charging time yields 70 to 150 miles of driving distance in the EV-1. By topping off at public charging stations, vehicles can extend their range by more than half in just one hour.
