Grant R. Brimhall Library
Thousand Oaks is proud to have a City-owned library system which is funded by an assessment from homeowners. The Thousand Oaks Library is comprised of one main facility, the Grant R. Brimhall Library, located at 1401 E. Janss Road in Thousand Oaks, and one branch library in Newbury Park located at 2331 Borchard Road. The Library collection includes over 350,000 items and friendly staff to provide assistance. The Brimhall Library was opened in 1982.

The 22,000 square foot children's expansion grand opening took place on June 24, 2006, and includes an improved Children's Services area, quiet study rooms, and additional seating and shelving capacity. Click here for more information and to view slideshow.

The Brimhall Library is now open 63 hours per week (seven days per week):

Monday - Thursday

10am - 9pm

Friday

10am - 6pm

Saturday

10am - 5pm

Sunday

1pm - 5pm

Newbury Park Branch
Opened in 1991, the Newbury Park facility houses both the Newbury Park Branch Library and the Library System's Technical Services Department. The building also houses the Thousand Oaks Community Gallery, where local artists can showcase their work.

Newbury Park Library is open 50 hours per week (six days per week):

Monday - Wednesday

12pm - 9pm

Thursday

10am - 6pm

Friday

10am - 6pm

Saturday

10am - 5pm

Sunday
