The City of Thousand Oaks City Council approved the 20-acre location in Newbury Park for a permanent equestrian center in November 2003. Staff has been working through the required studies and approval process to complete site improvements for the permanent facility. The capital improvement project (City Project No. CI 4307) includes a new bio-swale for water filtration, new on-site sewer and water lines, electrical, new entrance, and landscaping.
As of April 1, 2007 Circle K Riding Stables has taken over operations of the facility under a long-term lease agreement with the City. For information regarding boarding rates and other operational questions, please contact Circle K at (805) 499-1783.
