Senior Services Directory
The City of Thousand Oaks, Conejo Recreation and Park District, County, State and Federal agencies, non-profit, and for-profit businesses provide a variety of services to Senior Adults in the City of Thousand Oaks.
Council on Aging in cooperation with the Retired Senior and Volunteer Program (RSVP) compiles many of these services in a Senior Services Directory which is available in Adobe format Senior Services Directory. Directories are also now available while supplies last in hard copy at the following locations:

Senior Adult Master Plan (SAMP)
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR YOUR COMMUNITY AND YOU!
This year the Senior Adult Master Plan (SAMP) Implementation Committee will be implementing high priority action steps as approved by City Council (Implementation Plan (Attachments 1 and 2 to Oct. 25, 2011 City Council Report) and Report to City Council). Members on these implementation teams will be actively working in the community with businesses, service organizations, and senior facilities. Bring your expertise and community interest, and be part of a challenging, first-of-a-kind, leadership opportunity.
City of Thousand Oaks City Council approved the Senior Adult Master Plan on October 13, 2009. The plan is now in the implementation phase. Those interested in participating in this process should contact councilonaging@toaks.org or call 805-381-7362. Additional information can also be found in the SAMP brochure.
Televised Public Meetings
The Council on Aging holds televised meetings with guest speakers to discuss matters of interest to seniors. Click here to view upcoming speakers. The community is always invited to attend to these meetings on the first Wednesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. in the Boardroom on the third level of the Civic Arts Plaza. It is also available for viewing on TOTV Channel 10 and on the City website. The public is invited to share their opinions during public comments, listen to guest speakers, or announce an event or something monumental in their lives such as a birth of a new grandchild or an anniversary or birthday. If your organization has a special event coming up, come announce it on our program. The Council on Aging produces a quarterly newsletter with information about upcoming programs and helpful links to services. Check the Senior Buzz out online and let us know what you think.
