| | | Theatres RentalContact Cultural Affairs Director Barry McComb at (805) 449-2707 or Deputy Director Stacy Park at (805) 449-2767 to discuss available dates and which theatre is appropriate for your type of event. He will also review the estimated cost for your particular event. (Theatre rental costs are listed below.)
If you wish, you may make arrangements with the Cultural Affairs Director to tour both theatres and meet with the Technical Services Manager to answer any technical questions and give you a cost estimate.
Once a date has been determined, you will receive a contract for your event from the Cultural Affairs Department. The contract will contain a cost estimate for your event.
Read the contract carefully, sign where indicated, and send both copies back to the Cultural Affairs Department along with the deposit requested. We will send you a countersigned original contract for your files.
If you would like our Box Office to handle your ticket printing and/or sales, which will enable you to be included in the Calendar of Events, website, e-newsletter, marquee and TOTV scrolling billboard of events, contact the Box Office Supervisor at (805) 449-2725.
You must furnish the Cultural Affairs Department with a Certificate of Insurance to cover your event. If you do not have insurance, you may call for a quote and purchase it through the Cultural Affairs Department Executive Secretary at 805-449-2700.
Fourteen days prior to your event, send the balance due to the Cultural Affairs Department.
The Technical Production Manager will contact you to discuss specific arrangements for your event. You may view Technical Specifications for both the Fred Kavli Theatre Drawings and the Janet and Ray Scherr Forum Theatre by clicking here.
Following your event, the actual costs of the production will be calculated. You will receive a check if you have overpaid the Cultural Affairs Department, or a bill if you have a balance due.
