Tree Care: Ask An Arborist!
On April 28, 2018 at 12:30 pm, City Arborist Garrett Crawford will cover the most frequent questions the public ask about their trees, the regulations and policies related to city trees, and the City’s oak tree ordinance. Garrett will also give an update on the new Forestry Master Plan for the City and how that will affect the trees and plants used in different areas of the City.
Please plan to attend this event if you have questions or want to find out about:
- trees planted in parkways (area between the street and sidewalk)
- trees that hang over city streets or cover traffic or street signs
- how to irrigate trees to assist in surviving drought
- the City’s oak tree ordinance
- demonstration landscaping in the City
- Public Works Week
This event will include an extensive Q&A in which Garrett will answer your questions. He will also be available afterwards to discuss individual concerns or issues. Audience members are encouraged to bring pictures of their trees if they have specific issues or concerns.
This will be one of multiple presentations on April 28 to celebrate Arbor/Earth Day. The presentations will be held at the Grant Brimhall Library in the Community Room. The times are approximate and attendees are encouraged to visit the website for updated event details.
